Ma. Theresa K. Andres _ Medical assistance

I am fervently writing to you on behalf of my sister Ma. Theresa K. Andres, 37 years old. a single mother of 17 year old kid.

August 24th at around 1AM, Teresa was found unresponsive and unconscious at her work place.

An ambulance was immediately called and brought her to the ER for medical assistance.

It was found out that she suffered a ruptured Brain Aneurysm. After some initial medical procedures, she was transferred to Aster Hospital in Al Qusais. Since then, Theresa has remained in the hospital care due to the complexity and delicateness of her condition. She underwent emergency decompressive craniectomy the next day, August 25th.

Initially on ventilator, tracheostomy had been performed on Theresa and successfully weaned her out of the ventilator.

Her condition is currently stable yet it is still a long way to go for her complete recovery.

Her company has provided her with medical insurance which had already been exhausted. Due to the current economic scenario, her company is unable to extend further support for her continued medical treatment.

I am appealing to your kind hearts for support and assistance in funding the required medical care to help Theresa recover from this unfortunate circumstances.

Our best hope of recovery for her is to remain in Dubai where we are more confident in terms of the availability of medical care and facilities.

With the COVID-19 still hovering, it could be more disastrous if we will bring her in our home country where there is already a shortage of medical facilities and medical consultants/experts on top of the frequent travel restrictions imposed by the Philippine government.

It is still a roller-coaster ride for Theresa but we are confident that she will overcome this challenge with your help and support.
