I am Federico Gonzalez Waite, a young person that has a vision of helping change our world and make it a better, safer and peaceful place.
I wish to develop my Studies at Tel Aviv University in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, with a strong focus of using Economic Development as a tool to reduce conflict in future. There are two main concepts that I would like to develop so one day they can possibly be implemented and create a sustainable positive quality of life for the people concerned.
The main concept I wish to develop is a model of economic interdependence as a tool to create peace, that could be a solution to the volatile situation between the Israeli and Palestinian occupied territories. This model currently bases itself in the creation of interdependent industries that will create equal economic growth and quality of life on a par level in both states. While creating better conditions and quality of life it will create dialogue and connections between Israelis and Palestinians, with time these interactions can become strong relationships and create unity between both regions (There is a lot of research and work to be done to develop further this).
The second concept is to obtain knowledge about Israel deals with its resource scarcity and prevents conflict. A growing trend in the years to come will be conflict due to scarcity of resources. This is a reality that is fast affecting Mexico, with my home state of Hidalgo located in the top 10 estates with water scarcity. We already suffer violent encounter between villages for the control of the valuable liquid. Mexico has also been in the position to renegotiate the international agreement with the USA for the water flow control of the Colorado River; we can only expect to see more of these scenarios in the next 10 years. My desire is to return to Mexico and help develop ways to prevent this and other kinds of conflict to create a better safer country for our future generations.
I am raising money as the last years have been very difficult economically on myself and lack the money to get myself to Tel Aviv to undertake these studies. I have been very fortunate to be accepted into Tel Aviv University and to be awarded a Scholarship from the Mexican Government that will cover my course fees and partial living costs.
The current problem is I need to get to Tel Aviv and lack the money for flights, visas and the initial installation costs; this is how you can help me. I have worked very hard to archive this goal and I am fortunate to be in a situation where the Mexican Government is interested in me developing new skill to help better my country.
The size of the donation does not matter; it will all be very much appreciated. You will not be only contributing to my personal goal but possibly to the future of our world.
Thank you for your time and please donate.
