Of all things we anticipated having to manage in running our tennis coaching business a worldwide virus pandemic was definitely not on the radar. Even if it has been on our radar we doubt very much that we would have anticipated a 5-week lockdown with zero ability to coach. Our clients have been incredible and we were humbled by the fact that nearly everyone paid their coaching fees for April but May is now a major source of uncertainty not just for us but for our clients as well. Last night our President, continuing his excellent leadership during this time, indicated that we would move to Alert Level 4 at the end of this coming week. All sounds encouraging but in reality it is still not clear what specifically would be allowed in that time. Essential services is still being used to describe that phase.
The situation present us with a quandary. Wait and see or anticipate the worst and plan for now as well as we can. It is the latter option that seems the most logical and this is where you come in. We simply have nowhere to go if our coaching activities remain prohibited for any length of time beyond what we have already lived through. As such we are asking whether you would be prepared to make a donation to see us through this highly uncertain period in our coaching lives. Any amount would be most graciously welcomed (we hasten to add that the rand has been pummelled too so a little foreign exchange translates into a whole bunch of rand). Our commitment is to only use that money if we absolutely have to, and if we do not we could do one of two things; donate it to a worthy cause or return it to you as you specify.

Please accept that this has not been an easy thing for us to do, and if it were not for the crazy, and to be honest somewhat scary situation that we find ourselves in, we would never ask such a thing. At the same time if you have any ideas as to how else we might persevere we would love to hear those too.M-Sport Tennis
