Campaign Story
Background
My name is A'gi and I am organising this fundraiser to honour the memory of my dear friend, Lynda Walsh. She passed away suddenly on Friday afternoon, June 5, from what doctors believe was a cardiac event.
Lynda was a beautiful person inside and out living life to the full whilst making a positive difference in the world around her. She was a beacon of light, joyful and a true friend to so many of us.
The mission
In February 2020, Lynda, her husband Chris and I travelled to Kenya visiting orphans and widows throughout the country. We had a truly wonderful time experiencing the love, joy and hospitality of our Kenyan friends. The small community of Obaga, especially the school children, stole our hearts. Many of these children go without very basic needs including food and medication. Normally the children eat only twice a week at the local primary school and for the large majority of them, it is their only source of food supply. Since returning we have been planning to support this small community in order to increase their meal quota. This cause was very close to Lynda's heart.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation to honour Lynda's memory and help make a difference in the lives of these precious children, it would mean a lot to all of us, who are behind this project. We would like to thank you for your donation no matter how big or small. The funds will be used to feed hundreds of children to help their physical and mental development. Thank you for organizing this fund raiser as a memorial and tribute to Lynda Carol. She shared with us the impact of the orphanages you visited in Kenya. She told us of her plan to minister to them through food and clothing. Thank you for giving feet to her desires when she could no longer physically carry out her plans. Peggy Shumaker
