In 2012 I was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of breast cancer. I had 4 tumors. I thought my life was over and my children would grow up without me, but the breast surgeon told me I could be cured which was the best news I'd ever heard. Within 4 weeks if my diagnosis I had a radical mastectomy and lymph node clearance. Over the next year I had 2 different types of chemotherapy (FEC and docetaxol) and intensive radiotherapy.

I'm alive!

I've had diep flap reconstruction, nipple reconstruction and nipple tattooing (which looks amazing, I'm so lucky).

After everything I'm looking 90% normal but the lymph node clearance has left me with lymphedema in my arm and hand, which are very swollen and I'm in pain every day. The medication I can take for the pain makes me very drowsy and I'd be unable to go to work or spend quality time with my children so I don't take it. There's a machine called a hiva mat which is a deep oscillation machine and costs £2580. My lymphedema nurse has used this on me 3 times and it works wonders. The pain goes and swelling reduces but only for a day. I'd need to use the machine daily for the rest of my life to have any chance of using my arm normally with no pain. It would make such a difference to my quality of life and allow me to carry on working (I really love my job- my gp has recommended I stop work but I want to stay).

So here we go, please donate! Any amount is very gratefully received my from the bottom of my heart I thank you
