My name is Roxy & I have a story to tell you. This is a story about a wonderful mother and 3 smart, kind-hearted, polite and sometimes goofy kids who could really use your help. (Ill be adding a video to make this shorter soon.)

This is Jackson, Sydney & Emma..

And of course Mom. And then there's Dad.

They were an awesome family, a happy family. Dad had a great job & Mom stayed home to take care of all 3 of the kids, as well as a lot of the neighborhood kids & family members' kids too! Everyone always wanted to go to their house. Mom made sure everyone who visited felt like family while Dad made sure there were always goodies and plenty of snacks.

But this is not a happy story.

On December 15 their lives went from awesome & happy to downright horrible. Mom & Dad were fighting. Mom yelled at Dad and said he had to go. There was a lot of crying, but Mom promised everything would be okay and things would go back to normal soon. She said they still loved each other but sometimes they didn't get along, just like the kids.

Days passed. Dad didn't come back.

Emma, Sydney & Jackson still got to see Dad & talk to him a lot. Mom asked him to come help with the Christmas tree and he did. They wanted the kids to have at least one last Christmas as a family.

On December 22 Mom let the kids go to grandma's house (Dad's mom) even though she really didn't want to because she knew they were getting sick. She had had to stay up all night with Jackson because he was not feeling well. But grandma and dad insisted so in spite of having a bad feeling about it Mom said ok. She didn't want grandma to think that just because her and Dad were fighting that she wouldn't let the kids see their family. Mom trusted grandma.

If only she had known..
nothing would ever be the same again.

On Christmas Day the kids were so, so sick & worse Mom & Dad were not happy with each other still. It was the most unhappy Christmas they had ever had. It didn't feel very much like Christmas at all. Jackson doesn't even know what Christmas is supposed to feel like, he's only 2.

After the kids opened their presents, Mom went upstairs to make a phone call that only lasted for 5-10 minutes. While she was up there Dad rounded up all 3 of the kids and told them, "Let's go, hurry!" The kids were so confused. They didn't feel good & they just wanted to stay home and play with their new toys, but they knew better than to question Dad. They thought it was weird to leave so fast and without saying bye to Mom, or even telling her that they were leaving, but Dad was in a big hurry so they did their best to move quickly and quietly.

Mom called Dad right as they were driving out of the neighborhood. She was not happy and Dad said some really mean things.

..The kids never got to see Mom again.

Dad took them away. At first he just took them to a friends house (or maybe a family member). Then they all went back to grandma's house while Dad tried to find a new house. He told the kids that it was a secret and they weren't allowed to tell anyone where they were, especially not Mom.

Dad's phone rang all the time nonstop. Mom was calling him over and over and over. Dad blocked her number and told the kids that they had to hide from Mom because she was bad. They didn't understand how that could be. Mom wasn't bad. She was the best Mom ever and she did everything she could to make sure the kids were happy and taken care of. When Emma was sad Mom would stay with her all night and listen to her and try to cheer her up. Mom worked with Sydney nonstop to make sure she did great in school and she taught Jackson how to ride his bike. She always tucked them in bed at night and if there was only enough cookies left for 3 people, she let the kids have them, even when she was really hungry.

..But why would dad lie?

Mom kept calling over and over, sometimes almost 70 times a day. She had to call from different phone numbers that she got using free texting apps because Dad would block every number that Mom used once he realized it was her. Mom went through so many wifi texting apps that she had to start paying for free numbers!

Eventually, 10 days after Christmas, Dad said the kids could talk to Mom because it was Emma's birthday the day before. Mom cried the whole time and said she missed the kids so much and loved them and that she didn't know why Dad would do something so mean. She told the kids no matter what happened she would never stop loving them & she wouldn't give up until she found them. Dad didnt like something mom said and hung up on her. He didn't answer her calls anymore.

The kids were really sad and they missed Mom. They wanted everything to go back to normal and for Mom & Dad to love each other again. They weren't sure anymore if Mom was good or bad. Dad and grandma kept saying she was sick and needed to go to a doctor. Dad said they were going to have a new life and a new home but Mom couldn't come. The kids were excited about all the new things but they wanted Mom to come too. They missed all of their friends too, who were back in school by now. They heard that one of Emma's friends cried when she didnt come back and that everyone was really sad and worried about them. Dad didn't seem to be bothered by it. He just said that they would go to a new school too.

Mom was at home frantic. She couldn't eat & sometimes she threw up because she cried so much she couldn't breath. Her heart hurt more than it ever had before. She didn't understand how Dad could do this to not just her, but to the kids. Mom tried to call the cops many times but they always said there was nothing they could do because Dad was the kids dad and there was no court ordered custody arrangement.

She did her best to juggle lots of things that all needed immediate attention. She had to find a way to pay the rent, which was a lot of money. Three story houses are not exactly inexpensive. She almost got evicted but was determined to keep her kids family home. She had to sell a lot of stuff, including her most treasured ring that her Dad had given her before he died.

She tried really hard to find a job, but no one was hiring around the holidays. She spent a lot of time turning in applications and she even had a couple interviews. But nothing was happening and the clock was ticking. Every day her babies were away it felt like they became more unreachable. So she tried to apply for loans. But without a job and credit that was "recovering" from medical expenses (including surgery that Jackson had needed as a baby) no one would lend to her. She tried to get a title loan on her truck but she had put Dads name on it when she had paid it off as a very young adult, so without him she couldn't do that either.

Things were looking very bleak.

More importantly, she had to find a lawyer that would work with her financially, but every lawyer wanted lots of money to help her. She couldn't even pay for a cheeseburger much less a retainer fee. So she had to type legal documents that were acceptable to a judge and then pull together enough money just for gas to get to the court house. That took much more time than she had hoped and her "emergency hearing" request was beginning to look like less and less of an emergency and more and more like a pile of crap.

Lots of people said they would help her, but only a few did and those few people weren't able to help with much. Mom cried each time though because she was so grateful for even the smallest kindness.

Having felt as though she had exhausted all other options and being in dire need of the ability to bring in a paycheck NOW, Mom decided to apply to be a driver for the rideshare companies Uber and Lyft. She passed the background checks easily and without incident. Next was a vehicle. Much to her dismay, her trusty truck didn't quite make the cut. It was just a few years too old. Fortunately, she had the option to rent a vehicle. But yet another obstacle blocked her path. She needed money for the deposit, and not just cash either. The deposit was required to be in the form of a credit or debit card.. in her name. Dad had immediately removed her as an authorized user on their credit cards when he left and Mom hadn't been allowed even have knowledge of Dad's bank account.

..Mom was stuck.

She felt so close to getting the kids home,
..but still so far.

Unfortunately, this story is more than that. It is real life for Coady Ryan who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her husband "legally" kidnapped their 3 children, removing them from their family home in Summerlin and taking them into another jurisdiction. He even managed to enroll them in another school outside of Clark County despite Coady ensuring the county school district was aware of the children's missing status. Yet the police still cannot do anything.

I've watched this amazing young woman get up EVERY DAY and CHOOSE to continue to fight to find and have her children returned home. Every day she calls Brandon nonstop while holding back tears and typing away at something, whether it be looking for a job, checking people finder sites or working on documents that are never to her satisfaction.

Anyone who knows her knows that her children were, ARE, her entire life. Her facebook page is proof of that. Years worth of pictures and posts centered on her children make up the entirity of her facebook page. Scrolling through her pictures you'd find the same. No selfies, just pictures and videos of these 3 sweet yet silly kids.

This is not a horrible, neglectful or abusive mother. This is a woman who stayed silent for far too long and now is enduring the nightmarish consequences.

Can you imagine having your children abducted on Christmas?! Two of the people you loved and trusted more than anyone (her husband and mother in law) completely turning their backs on you in the most deceitful way possible. Can you imagine missing your childs birthday, not seeing them or hearing their voice for weeks at a time. Not knowing if they are sick or sad. Not feeling their arms wrap around you after a long day..

Brandon is telling her that her kids don't even miss her and that they dont care to see her.

She hasn't stopped crying since Christmas.

She's never done a single thing to deserve this monstrous and disgusting betrayal & continues to say things such as, "I just don't get it. How could he do this? Not to me, but how could he do this to the kids? I never would have put him through anything like this. I never would have given up on us."

She desperately needs help just to acquire the few hundred dollars needed to pay off enough of her credit card to make the down payment for Hertz. Anything in excess would be applied towards February's rent, utilities & then a retainer for an attorney (in that order).

I really hope that we, her friends and family, can unite and pull together just enough to get her working so that she can maintain the ability to keep her children's home for them. This isn't her life goal, simply a stepping stone. I promise you, she will be so grateful for every dollar that it will bring her to tears.. tears of joy and gratitude.

Thank you all for your help in this endeavor.

Update posted by Coady Ryan at 12:17 am

I've had a Hearing date set for March 7 at 10am for at least a week now. I've been waiting for my order for a motion to shorten the time before I go in front of the judge for my emergency motion and motion for temporary orders pending the final. . . . .
