Luqy47 – South African Youtuber & Steamer

My name is Luqmaan Chopdat. A high school teacher living in South Africa. I love being a teacher, but it's not my number 1 passion. I wish to produce YouTube content and make a living through that!

I began my YouTube channel in April of 2020, around the time Covid hit South Africa. I thought it would be easy to create the content, edit the videos myself and then upload it, gaining subscribers along the way and entering the YouTube Partner Program. Boy was I was wrong. I struggled. I lack the equipment and creative editing ability that I need to make my content appealing.

I recently qualified as a teacher and being a teacher in South Africa is not the best paying job here. I am 26 years old trying to look after my parents and hoping to marry soon. So, I'm desperate. Working as a full-time teacher has meant that I have been inconsistent in uploading content. Everything is expensive in Africa.

I am asking for your help. Ideally, I want to raise R150 000 to fund my YouTube business. That is a lot of money, I know. Whether it may be a shoutout of my channel name on your socials, or if you have any spare equipment that you are not using like a mic, camera, or anything that I could need for Youtube and for streaming. Oh, and subscribing to my Youtube channel would be highly appreciated!

South Africa is behind when it comes to YouTube and the world of Influencers, most people don't know the value of YouTube and how people can make a full-time career out of it. I want to be one of the first South Africans to put us on the map! I went to help other South Africans start their own YouTube journeys as well!
