My sister, Lindie. Has had lupus for most of her life. (Lupus: An inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues). She has been sick since the age of 23. She has been in and out of hospitals. Her husband divorced her early in their marriage, he did not want to deal with her 'situation'. She has been trying to cope since then, going from job to job, waking up early in the morning, with a fragile body, dragging herself to work. She has never given up. She still gets up, and go. She is now 46! Her situation has now become crucial. The bones in her back has deteriorated and if you have to see Lindie close up, you will see her entire upper torso is bent forward. We are all worried about her, assisting her best we can. A couple of months ago, her then employer told her that they did not require her services any longer. She suspects that it is due to her poor health. We all begged her to take the matter further, but she refused, being concerned that it could jeopardize future opportunities. Now, she has lost her vehicle, lost her medical aid and she is flat broke! : (. Thankfully her dear Friend Jenny asked her to move in with her. Jenny is partially blind due to a stroke. Jenny did not want to be alone as she is also single and struggling along. We thankful to Jenny for inviting my sister into her home and will be forever grateful. However, Lindie still desperately needs help to purchase a vehicle and get her medical aid up and running again. A medical aid, to her is absolutely crucial, as the government hospitals in South Africa is extremely poor. Please can you find it in your heart to help my sister and in turn we can help her friend Jenny as well, who has been so kind to let her in her home. Will be forever grateful!
