NOTHING LIKE FACING YOUR OWN MORTALITY
The words you have cancer must be the most dreaded words in any language. But lung cancer – you don’t know anyone who has survived lung cancer. Lung cancer causes more deaths than breast, colon and prostate cancer combined. I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer on July14. I did manage to quit smoking 4yrs. ago, but no-one can say for sure what caused it. Unfortunately in my family it seems to be genetic. I am still in shock & anxiety on top of my anxiety. I am having surgery in August, having half of my lung removed. I am 56 and I need to raise funds for my pets to be cared for while I am in hospital and afterwards, travel to and from treatment (over 400km away), aftercare and all the other costs that go with it. I am widowed & trying to survive on a pension. I have 2 grown children and 4 small grand-children that don't live close to me & I would like to be here as long as I can for my family. I also will accept EMT (e-mail money transfer) in Canada only at [email protected], as a donation. PLEASE, any amt. will help. If you are not able to fund with money, please consider donating time. I will need lawn mowed/snow shoveled/meals prepared, house cleaned, etc. Please mail me with ANY questions or suggestions. You can remain anonymous. Although I am having surgery on Aug/20., I have been told by my oncologist that I need to prepare for a minimum 2 month healing period. PLEASE don't give up on helping me!
Thank-you xx
