For those whom have asked me about hiring a nanny, babysitter or cleaner, you probably also know my friend, Armie who has linked us with her wonderful friends. Well, I recently heard from Armie that her sister's family of 5 (including 3 boys, of 7, 5 and 3 years old) house has been destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda. They are now living in a tent next to their destroyed house. Her brother's house was also blown away, and his family is temporarily living with her parents. I have known Armie for many years and I have seen her save every single cent that she made to build a house for her parents and sibilings. Two years ago, I remembered her calling me about the completion of her house in the Philippines. Yet, just one night of Typhoon Yolanda, blew away all her efforts that she worked so hard for in the past decade. I am sure this is one of the many devastating pstories that you have heard from Typhoon Yolanda which has left 4 million people homeless.
Today, I am helping Armie with a Lumpia (Filippino Springroll) drive. We are looking for monetary donations so that Armie can help her family rebuild their homes in Phillippines. In return, as a token of our appreciation, we would like to share some home-made lumpias with your family.
I hope you will join hands with me and help Armie and her family in this effort to rebuild their lives again.
