Luckydog has been my tried and true best friend for almost 11 years. He has been through some of the hardest moments of my life with me. And because of him I have received unconditional love. I adopted Luckydog when he was about a year old. Now he has canine lymphoma. He has received 5 chemo treatments so far, but still has about 14 to go (as of Oct. 28). I don't know how I am going to pay for them. Luckydog deserves to be helped. He can live a quality life a little longer if he can get through these treatments, but I need help.

PLEASE consider a donation, no matter how small, for Luckydog's continued treatment. I would rather money not come directly to me, though I have no choice to set it up that way on this site. His treatments are at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Georgia.  706-542-3221.

I had thought that the UGA Vet Hospital would let folks pay directly to them, but that didn't work when a friend tried it.

A note from his rescuer.....

Luckydog Kennedy was one of our first foster dogs. Found on the side of interstate 20 on a record breaking hot summer day back in 2003, starving, broken, missing part of an ear, flea collar embedded. He had made of nest of found items in a thicket next to the deer fencing. He's never quite gotten over his addiction to plastic bottles. I had just about given up trying to catch him and told him I was leaving so he better hurry up if he was coming. He raced me to the van. We said well aren't you a lucky dog today? Please make him a lucky dog everyday. Let's get him the chemo treatments he deserves.

Halfway through treatments!

Update posted by Lisa Kennedy at 11:02 am

Luckydog is halfway through his treatment program! He has done so well. Every week the vets brag on his progress and report that he is responding to treatment the way they like to see. His only sid effects have been lethargy and lack of appetite. But he does still eat...so
