Story

COVID19 is crawling its way towards the hot summer of 2021 and still too little do we know about this pandemic. The best way keep everyone safe is by social distancing, and the second thing we can do is proper personal protection.

On this front, La Salle College Old Boys’ Association (LSCOBA) is taking the initiative to produce face masks aiming to protect our members, their families and students to lower the infection risk and exposure in the context of challenging pandemic situations in wherever our global footsteps have reached. The masks will be branded as a warm resemblance of our alma mater.

We are developing masks with 4 sizes:
175 x 95mm L (Full adults)
165 x 85mm MX (15-17 years old)
145 x 85mm M (8-14 years old)
125 x 85mm S (Below 8 years old)

Masks are sold $75 per pack of 30 pieces each set, packed individually. We are working on a premium grade hard paper box, it's design will be released once it is ready!

Our team have worked very hard to liaise with the school and we are very proud to say, the school has approved our design: students can wear them to school!

Why Crowdfunding

LSCOBA has been fortunate to receive countless support and amazing ideas especially on the product front; yet we reckon it’s inefficient for us to spread ourselves too thin to try just a bit of everything, hoping that it would somehow cater to the different needs and taste of every member. From ideation, activation towards perhaps an actual product life cycle, we want every LSC alumni to be a part of making the ideas you shared a real, viable, LSCOBA product.

The challenge we always face when we develop new products are uncertain demand (that leads to unwanted stockpiling). Crowdfunding enables us to tackle these problems by understanding the demand before we commit on the production quantity, thus eliminating any potential risks for large amount of wastage. We would like to embrace this new way of production workflow, and this is our first trial. Please bear with us in case of any hiccups! Also, please send us any comments or suggestions. Design

Clearly the Stripes are inspired by our school ties! The two colour schemes (red/purple & red/white) are used in our school uniform and sports uniform respectively. The two designs bear different print: White edition with "La Salle" , and Grey edition with "Fides et Opera":

Even at this time of uncertainty, our hearts do not sway from the reminder to stay calm and do our best for every LSCOBA member.
