Loving,amazing dog Ringo

Ringo is my 4 year old Golden Retriever. Intelligent, gentle, loving and well-trained. He can find clothing and load the washing machine for me. When I take him into the forest for a walk, I do not need a compass because if I’m lost he will lead the way home. We live in a village in central Spain and all the children there adore him whereas they are terrified of other local dogs. I have trained him to do many TV-style doggy tricks, and he learns fast!

For several months he has developed problems walking, which my vet treated to no avail, but didn’t realise that he had a broked knee bone and a dysplasia of the hip. He is currently unable to use his hind legs and so I carry him outside for the toilet, and some fresh air. He must have been in terrible pain, but my new vet is prepared to operate at a cost of £2,500….. or advises me to have him put down within the week. My girls and I are mortified, and cry often, but there is no way I can afford the fees. I am fully trained in dog psychology and behaviour and will be able to give him the post-operative care and attention for a full recovery.

Ringo has brought so much love and joy to our little family that I do not want to lose him in his hour of need. I plead for any donations that will help him have the operation he must have, and dread the thought of having him put to sleep.
