Hope For Uganda – Love Unveiled

The world needs US. Whether it's in Asia or Africa, there are places where stories are unheard of, unspoken about.

This is where people like me come in. I pursued my Bachelors in Computer Science(Hons) and graduated from Nanyang Technological University from Singapore in 2016. I believe in the power of Education. Having one of the best infrastructures in terms of Education in the world, I believe I could harness this empowerment and provide it to the less fortunate. Education should be a necessity and not a privilege.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." ~ Nelson Mandela.

People find purpose in life in many other reasons. I'm finding it in giving back to those who need it. Combating inequality, marginalization and poverty will provide the basic education which one child could seek.

People do ask, why not support other countries in Asia? Why in Uganda?

As much as I would love to support other charities, in and around Asia, or even in other parts of the World, I have to start somewhere. I have supported campaigns and supported charities and villages in Singapore, India, Indonesia and Cambodia. But I felt a deep connection with Africa in particular. And after months of research, I managed to find a charity organization which was willing to support my endeavor. It was Love Unveiled Ministries - Uganda.

With a population of over 44 million, and half of the population below the age of 16 years old, I felt something needs to be done to support these children, most of whom do not get access to education.

You plant a seed. And the trees grow. That's how I would like to extend my support to other charities as well. Creating awareness and helping them out in partnership with other organizations in the future.

My team and myself, coming together for a common cause, will be visiting the charity organization In Uganda, most likely in April 2019. We are going down to meet the founder and understand their needs. As such, we will be raising money for my team, to subsidize transportation cost over to Uganda, bringing over usable clothes, educational materials, and donating the money to support the charity so we could fund children to allow them to receive their basic education, fund families so they can support their family, fund communities so they have access to basic medical needs and human needs.

We are bringing hope. We are bringing change. We are bringing smiles. Please do support us, as your donation will go a long way in helping us achieve our purpose.
