I'm Nicole and I put up this page to help my Aunt pay for our pet Lovesky's medical bills.
Lovesky is an 8 year old medium sized mixed breed dog. (or asong pinoy as they call it here) He’s a very active, loyal and obedient dog. Lovesky is a fighter ever since. When he was a puppy, he broke his right leg and was limping because his mother was putting too much weight on it. The Vets found that he was born with weak bones. He then had surgery for his right leg. The Vets inserted a metal device inside his leg to help him walk properly. He lived a normal and happy life after that.
Last December 29, 2019, Lovesky was attacked by another larger dog. His jaw bone and the tissues inside his mouth were crushed. His mouth was falling off as a result. The Vets said that he experienced mandibular fracture and will need surgery immediately.
It was a Sunday and it was near the holidays, we had a difficult time finding an open hospital for dogs that could perform the needed surgery so last December 30, 2019, we brought him to a dog hospital in Las Pinas City.
The Vet performed “bone pinning” procedure which consist of putting pins and acrylic inside his mouth. After days of observation, the procedure was not successful because the blood was not flowing on the other side of his mouth. The lower portion of his mouth was also turning to black.
Last January 12, 2020, Lovesky was very weak, he can't stand up or walk and he was not barking. The Vet told us it might be due to the pain from the dead portion of his mouth because there was no blood circulation so the Vet recommended amputation of the broken portion of his mouth since it can't be saved anymore. Lovesky needs to undergo amputation to live normally again.
January 13: Amputation was performed by the Vets since it's the only way to save Lovesky. His lower mouth cannot be saved anymore as there is no blood flow. He's very weak due to the medicine administered but the surgery was successful. The Vets told us that Lovesky has good vital signs and organs. His heart is very strong.
January 14: Lovesky is still weak from the surgery. He can't move yet and is still in great pain.
January 15: Lovesky can now walk! We're very happy to see him strong again. He still can't bark but his condition has improved. He's regaining his strength but he still needs to be confined so that the Vet could monitor and treat him.
January 17: we received Lovesky's running balance from the Vet. The total running balance of Lovesky is PHP 159,119.2. Tita was able to deposit PHP 44,241.80 as Lovesky's down payment. There is still an outstanding balance of PHP 114,877.4 The bill will still increase because Lovesky is still confined and there is no discharge orders yet from the Vet as his surgical wounds are still healing.
Lovesky's current invoice can be viewed in Google Drive through this link:
Please help us help Lovesky have another chance to live a normal and longer life. We don’t want to give up on Lovesky because he’s part of the family and we know he can get through this because he’s a fighter since he was a puppy. Which is why we're coming here to ask for any amount you can donate to Lovesky for his medical treatment. The funds collected from this page will be used to answer for his medical bill, treatment and care as Lovesky needs to be on a liquid diet for 2 months after the amputation. Every penny collected will get us one step closer to help Lovesky have another chance to live normally.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity. All the support and prayers are highly appreciated. May God bless you more.

Lovesky’s recoveryUpdate posted by Nicole Hinanay at 04:59 am
Last January 20, Lovesky is still confined in the hospital but he’s doing better now. The Vets sent us the photo below of Lovesky undergoing blood tests to check if he has infection. The test result yielded negative of infection. However, we’re confirming Lovesky’s blood chem works because his WBC

Lovesky can walk again!Update posted by Nicole Hinanay at 12:37 pm
Last January 15, the Vets sent us the videos to show that Lovesky can now walk after his surgery and after resting for two days. He's stronger now but there is still no discharge order for Lovesky because his surgical wounds need to heal first. He's still under observation. We're
Getting through amputationUpdate posted by Nicole Hinanay at 01:12 pm
Last January 13, 2020, the Vets amputated the lower portion of Lovesky's mouth because there's no blood circulation and keeping it in tact would only cause him pain. It's hard for us to accept that it needs to be done because we really wanted Lovesky to be like how he. . . . .
