It’s been 29 days since the start of this campaign. Wow and has the last 29 days been a mixture of blessings and roller coasters! I’ve had days filled with joy, days of thankfulness, days of tears, days of desperation and despondency. But through it all I have grown and learned so much!

I can honestly look back over the last 29 days and thank Yahweh with everything that is within me for the most amazing journey it has been so far! And today, on day 29 He really came and changed everything!

You see, I kind of had this idea that I am being obedient, I will do this challenge and then carry on with my life. I obviously prayed that Yahweh will really bless this challenge and that it will enable Yosef and Aliyah to go out and do what they were called to do. So they would be on their way and I would be able to relax and work through my own experiences and all the emotions this challenge has stirred up in me.

Not true!! Earlier this week a dear friend recommended a documentary to me called “Ladies First” and it opened a whole new world for me. It really stopped me in my tracks and had me in tears long after I finished watching it….the seed was planted! So I started reading up a bit and watched a couple more documentaries.

I have prayed so many times and asked Yahweh to break my heart for what breaks His”. Sometimes we don’t realize what we ask! Today my heart is breaking for all the child brides, all the sexually abused, all the forgotten, the untouchables, the not good enough. The voiceless….those who do not even know that they have a voice…that what is happening to them is not normal…those held captive by tradition, etc that does not even know that they were destined for so much more! Those living a horrific life without Yeshua.

I read an article Aliyah wrote this afternoon and it really just shattered the already broken pieces of my heart and fired me up to want to do so much more! And now I know. I will never stop, I will continue to do anything humanly possible to raise funds and to enable her and Yosef to go out and to truly take the “good news” to all the nations, to go and make disciples and to break the cycles through the anointing and power of Yahweh that flows through their ministry!! To go and proclaim His freedom, healing, restoration, forgiveness to all!

I will no longer just sit still and just wait for someone else to get up and do something! I will no longer turn my back on the broken, the lost, the abused, the raped, the forgotten, the untouchables, etc….they could’ve been you or me….they could’ve been me, my brother, sister, father, mother, son, daughter, niece, nephew, etc!

To quote Aliyah: “We can fight to change traditions. We can raise awareness, write articles, and use our gifts to bring that change. We can pray warrior prayers for hurting souls and live out an active faith that seeks justice for women."

” You can read the full article here: https://www.cbeinternational.org/blogs/child-bride...

For more of her articles: https://www.cbeinternational.org/persons/aliyah-ja...

I believe that justice for women will only come once we have true men of Yahweh as well! And I will fight for all these lost and broken men, women and kids who are living without Yeshua in any way I can! Right now all I can do is raise funds and pray and that is what I will continue doing until Yahweh instructs me otherwise.

So come on people…ARE YOU WITH ME?? Let’s make a difference and save some lives!! If all you have is $1 to give then Yahweh still sees your heart and He will multiply that $1!!

Love in Yeshua,

Marlize

So over the course of the campaign so far I have had some people shaking their heads as they simply cannot understand why I would even attempt this, people supporting my heart (some giving from the very little they have themselves) and some well meaning people giving advice on how to better engage the audience and convince them to give. Especially as donations has dwindled down over the last couple of days these have increased. Those have been the three responses I have received the most!

I have learned that a lot can be gained by listening to what people don't say in this. Those who have had a relatively "easy" life up until that stage is those who are less willing to give. Those who have been through incredibly difficult and dark times and who, at times, had to fight to simply stay alive are the ones who give without hesitation. Some of the people with well meaning advice loves me and really mean well, some are just trying to find another way to contribute so they don't have to part with money!

Sitting and writing this tonight I realize that I will get so many more people reading this and maybe giving if I throw in some pictures of the people we know will be reached by Yosef and Aliyah through this campaign should we reach target. The broken, the addict, the sexually abused, the homeless, the sinner, the alcoholic....my picture would be one of the first to get posted here then...but why do we have to go to such lengths? When did we loose the love?

That is one of the reasons I am so incredibly passionate about this...the most important one though is that I Love Him Enough!! How about you? Do you Love Him Enough to make a difference, to save a life, to pay it forward? Or will you shut the door on a broken, hurting, abused, homeless, alcoholic sinner who could've been you, your son or daughter, your father or mother? I am reminded of the saying "there but for the grace of God/Yahweh go I".

Please prayerfully consider sowing into this ministry?

I realized that a couple of you might think me bias so I thought we'd post a bit of a bio on Yosef and Aliyah today and you can decide if they're really as awesome as a lot of people (including me) think they are!

You see, if you'd been searching for as long as I had and you finally come across two intensely passionate and sold out people who teaches truth in a way that leaves no doubts, second guessing, etc but through Scripture enables you to really start running the race (Hebrews 12:1) with your eyes firmly set on becoming perfected and laying it all down becomes more of a privilege and less of a price then you know you're in good company!

What you allow into your life daily (be it through which teachings you watch, which movies you choose to entertain yourself with, which books you choose to read, etc) has a tremendous impact on your walk with Yeshua I firmly believe and I have seen this numerous times in my own life....junk in is going to bring junk out! So being able to go to a website and watch teachings, download pdf's, communicating with fellow believers in the Bible Study group...all in a safe space is such a tremendous blessing! And I know we don't realize all the work that goes into that.

So before I get carried away again...I'd like to give you some more info on Yosef and Aliyah...there's so much more to them than just what you see and hear on the website. I truly believe as well that Abba laid them on my heart specifically for this challenge because they are so incredibly sold out and daily counting the cost and saying yes to making a difference in His Kingdom!

Please allow me to also post Yosef's testimony here:

But.....I'll stop typing now.....so you can read this short bio on Yosef and Aliyah....

Yosef and Aliyah have over 20 years of combined ministry experience of teaching, preaching and working within communities with the broken and the lost. Aliyah has a degree in Psychology and English, criminology, an honours in biblical counselling therapy and a masters degree in divinity.

Her passion for counselling was fuelled when she worked as a non – profit woman abuse counsellor and as a trauma counsellor at a crisis centre. At that time Yosef had worked at a boys centre for young juveniles and for drug addicts and was a seminary student and assistant pastor at a community church when the two of them met. They felt the call to start a small blog where they would share biblical teachings uncovering the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. They wrote numerous articles and deep studies on Gods word, while continuing to work in the community.

Before long, they started teaching a home bible study group, and eventually they worked for a university where they planted Yeshiva study groups for hungry individuals desiring the deeper truths of Yeshua’s word. The ministry expanded to include their hunger and desire to reach the nations. Travelling and speaking globally, Aliyah and Yosef began receiving numerous invitations to bring the good news to many.

Since 2014, the ministry grew in to a missions-based ministry with the heart for the Great Commission. They continue to teach, proclaim, and minister the word of Yeshua to the nations.

Much love in Yeshua,

Marlize

Today I'm not going to do a long piece. We've had quite a bit of movement on the fundraising side and I am so incredibly thankful for this! I praise and thank Yahweh for every single person who has heeded His Voice and made a contribution! Thank you once again to everyone that has donated! The impact of your donation will probably only really become known after this life but I know that this will greatly impact the Kingdom of Yahweh and lives will be changed and transformed! This journey of obedience has already impacted so tremendously on my own life, I cannot even begin to explain!

Speaking of impact....I'd like to share a couple more of the teachings that Yosef and Aliyah has done that Yahweh has used to impact on my own life. This is in no particular order, just really teachings that spoke to me, stood out and impacted on my walk with Yeshua. Please note that I am only choosing a couple again now as there is just to many to be able to list all of them here right now. I pray that these teachings will bless you even more than they did me [if that's possible :-)) ]

If you haven't done so yet...please go and subscribe to their website as well and check out more teachings there, you will find a real goldmine! You can click here to go to the website: https://treasuredinheritanceministry.com/

So I have to be honest, I’ve been debating this update pretty much the whole day. I’m going to do my best but I am finding it difficult to put what I feel into words tonight. I woke up this morning and really prayed that today there would be a tremendous increase in donations towards this challenge. It’s been a difficult journey at times up to now. Even when you do something out of complete obedience it sometimes really stretches your faith and so many other aspects of your life. Sometimes I just cannot understand why it is so incredibly difficult for some to give whilst those who has the least to give, gives so easily from the heart.

So there was a couple of donations that came in and I was so incredibly thankful for that! I think the one that touched me the most today was a friend who sent money via e wallet and asked me to please transfer it on her behalf as they had really bad internet signal. This friend of mine was gruesomely attacked and left for dead about two years ago and lives of a disability grant as she is no longer able to work due to injuries sustained and the long terms effects thereof on her health. I literally cried when I saw her message! It made me realize once again….it’s not how much we can give, it’s the heart and intent with which we give!

The highlight of my day was when I realized that Yahweh has already used this campaign to work in peoples’ lives and to start changing lives! I was filled with SO much joy and love that I thought I might actually explode!! It was the absolutely best birthday present ever!!! I am so indescribably happy!! I praise Yahweh for lives changed and pray for so many more to still be touched, changed and saved!

This is why I said yes, this is why I stepped out in obedience and why I ran straight ahead and did this! The knowledge that one live has already been touched has made this whole journey worthwhile! How can we not give, not love Him enough to even donate R50 or $5? Have we really lost the love for each other to such an extent that the love for money is all that remains?

If only you could for one second experience the incredible joy and love that I am experiencing right now I truly believe that you would really open up your hearts and wallets…it is just too much to contain! Think about the next person….are you willing to count the cost….to give and give joyfully or to give until it hurts but still do so with a smile because you love Him enough? Can you really pass on the chance to change a life…to fulfill the great commission? I thank Yahweh for the incredible privilege, for the grace He has bestowed upon my life, that He can use my heart and my willingness to make a small difference.

I am nothing special, it is all His grace! I am only a willing instrument who said yes…so can you!! Imagine if we all said yes…imagine if we all gave everything we had and ran the race with no holding back!! Oh how I would love to be a part of that generation…a generation that truly Love Him Enough!!! How about you?

Much Blessings,

Marlize

With only two days to go before my birthday I am actually really excited! Although this campaign is not only limited to the actual day of my birth, I pray that Yahweh will truly work in the hearts of many to open up their hearts and wallets to give to this campaign and that it will be a record day! I would also like to thank everyone who has contributed thus far, I pray that Yahweh will truly bless you in every aspect of your life for your generous blessings! You truly have made a difference in His Kingdom and lives will be touched thanks to your seed!

May I please share a bit of my day with you? This morning when I went to donate blood (I am a regular donor) I got this nifty gym towel complete with a zipped compartment for keys, etc. I jokingly told the lady assisting me that it feels like I get something every time I go to donate!

I have the habit of praying for the individuals who will be receiving my blood, for Yahweh to meet with them if they don't know Him, for positive change in their lives, for deeper relationship with Him. Since it's called the "gift of life" I decided a while ago that this would be what I pray every time I go to donate...for life in Yahweh for the recipient. It got me thinking though...I actually got "rewarded" today for "giving the gift of life", for giving my "blood that can save lives".

Yesterday I got rewarded for putting fuel in my car, the day before that for buying my vitamins, etc at a certain outlet. Everything is about rewards these days and we have more rewards cards in our wallets than money some days!

The only place where we don't have "reward cards" and do not get "tangible rewards or gifts" with every handing over of money is in His Kingdom! Pondering this I couldn't help but wonder if this is why so many struggle to give? Surely it cannot be? Matt 6:20-21 clearly states "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal, for where your treasure is, there shall your heart be also". Even though every single thing we do here on earth counts, we are just passing through...what comes next is what really matters. The sad reality though is that we focus so much on the right here, right now that we lose focus and one day you realize that the investment that really matters, the one you've made in heaven leaves much to be desired!

Don't get me wrong, this is not why I am doing this challenge. I am doing this out of obedience and I am doing this with the knowledge that if only one life gets changed, healed and saved for His Kingdom through this, we would have made a difference! So I'd like each of us to ask ourselves...where is our treasure? Where is our focus? Like I've said before, we cannot all be a Yosef or Aliyah, but we can sow into their ministry and enable them to go out and make disciples and change lives through Yahweh! Do we Love Him Enough though?

Love in Yeshua

Thank you Yosef for taking the time to do this...with that...here's Yosef:

Giving to something is never easy! As humans we like to hold onto what we have, waiting for the perfect moment to spend it on something new, new clothes, car, cell phone etc. We hate to let moments pass us by and we seldom seem to save or manage to truly invest into things that matter. The problem is that we as humans have become selfish and self-centred in our thinking and way of doing. From the way we interact with others to the way we choose what we will do with what we have. If it does not benefit me then why should I do it? I have to admit that at times I too find myself thinking very hard about where to invest my time and money.

But what if we didn’t think that hard about it and instead chose to pay it forward for a cause that is greater than just one life? What if we choose to invest into the lives of others by giving of what we have to help where we can’t? Not all of us are called to work with the drug addict, the abused or the trafficked, but all of us have a measure of compassion inside of us to care for others not matter how much we try to hide it. It should be that compassion that makes us pause for a second and consider why we do what we do. Not only why do we do what we do, but what do I do with what I have?

We all have the power to change a life. You might ask how? The power of giving is a silent weapon that changes and empowers lives. Your giving helps this ministry reach out globally to all nations and people. Through video, radio and one on one encounters the message of hope is able to reach the lives of many. This is only made possible by faithful donors and individuals that are able to see past the sign that says please give and instead see the vision and mandate of this ministry. Only once the vision is grasped will the task of giving become easier. Unfortunately, in order to see the vision, we need to get into the shoes of the broken hearted, the drug addict, the downtrodden as well as the lost and the immature believer. Only once you can put yourself there will you fully be able to reach into your pocket or bank account and be able to give not from your head but your heart.

The world needs hope! Not the hope of a better tomorrow! The hope of a changed life. The hope of a Father for the Fatherless, a hope of a Saviour to their problems. Only Yeshua can change lives in this way.

Maybe you saying, hey Yosef I have read this all before… Every church, every Pastor asks for money every Sunday, what makes this any different.

The truth is that in a way it might not be different, yet being a person who was an addict, who was in prison, who lived on the streets for years, I know what it means to have someone reach out to you and not just give you a superficial answer that changes nothing. I know what it meant to me when a missionary took the time to see me and offer me a solution to my pain.

Your giving enables us to do more, to reach more and to help more. We pray that Treasured Inheritance Ministry will be a worthy investment for you.

Thank you

Co-Founder

So tonight I'm not going to do a long post, I would just like to share with you some of the teachings Yahweh has used to bless and equip me with on my journey so far. I pray that these will speak to your own heart as well and that Yahweh will truly use these to bless you tremendously!

Choosing just a couple of teachings is an impossible task, so this will be an ongoing exercise! Before I post the links however I would just like to once again humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart for every contribution made so far! It is the prayer of my heart that Yahweh will multiply your blessing greatly, not just in the ministry of Treasured Inheritance Ministries but also in the lives of everyone that will be reached through this campaign as well as you...the joyful giver! Thank you and be blessed!

This is not what I had planned as an update for today but in the spirit of keeping it real I am just going to go with what is in my heart.

Firstly I would like to say thank you so very much to each and every person who has already donated. I do not want to take away anything from your reward and I truly pray that Yahweh will bless you abundantly according to His will for every aspect of your life! What might seem like a small contribution to you I know Yahweh can use mightily!

Secondly I want to say please. As someone who knows the incredible hurt and devastation of sexual abuse, someone who knows how satan can further use this to deceive and wreck lives, someone who knows how easily an innocent child can go from happy and healthy to broken and hurting, someone who knows how that once innocent child will grow up (if he/she does see adulthood) living a life of self destruction, someone who knows how incredibly difficult it is to even attempt to believe that Yahweh could love him/her, someone who knows that in that deepest, darkest night you need "Yeshua with skin"...I ask desperately and with all my heart that you please support this challenge...be the instruments that Yahweh uses to enable Yosef and Aliyah to continue doing what they are now but on a much bigger scale...for them to continue going out and being "Yeshua with skin" for the lost, broken, confused, hurting, etc so that they can come to know their Saviour and Healer Yeshua!!

Be blessed and may each of us continue to grow in Loving Him Enough!

Much love in Yeshua,

Marlize

So a couple of people have already asked me, why “Treasured Inheritance Ministries” when there is so many other causes that I could’ve chosen, so many other institutions and worthy causes that I could have chosen to support.

A Completely valid question and not something that I can answer in a sentence or two. So please bear with me and read to the end as I try and answer this question to the best of my abilities. (I am not a writer so this might get a bit all over the place but I’m going to keep it real and really share my heart.)

When I was first heard of Treasured Inheritance Ministries I was still very much searching and desperate for answers and for truth. Although by then I had received a tremendous amount of healing in many areas of my life there was still something missing. I am a black and white kind of person, it’s either right or it’s wrong and at that stage I had very few people in my life who was sharing truth and actually leading me towards the no compromise, spirit filled, love relationship I so desperately desired to have with my Creator.

So I was told about Yosef and Aliyah, how they were completely sold out to Yahweh, about the incredible anointing they both carry and how they were tremendous instruments in His Hands. To be honest I thought people were overreacting. In my experience up to that point of my life very few people were really as sold out as they professed to be and compromise was rife. Yes, this was very judgmental of me and I have repented!

From the very first time I met them, I realized though that they were completely focused on Yahweh and His calling for their lives. His plans and purposes for their lives are the most important factors in their lives and they truly live to serve Him and to be His hands and feet to a broken and lost world. They do not hesitate to speak truth and their teachings and ministry not only challenges each person they come into contact with but also inspires you to want to count the cost, to want to become a disciple, to focus on nothing but His complete and perfect plans and purposes for your own life.

Under their ministry and leadership I have grown so tremendously! From a shaky believer who was up and down and just never seemed to be able to get that final breakthrough, to a warrior woman and disciple in the making. I have come to know truth, I have come to realize that I don’t have to be perfect, I just have to be willing. Willing to count the cost, willing to go wherever He leads me, willing to say yes when everyone else is saying no, willing to love Him through it all and in spite of it all. The rest He will do…all He requires is a willing and obedient vessel.

He doesn’t care how broken you were, how much drugs you used to do, how many times you’ve fallen, how many times you rebelled, how many times you ran away, how many times you sinned….He waits with open arms and once you commit wholeheartedly and without reservation He can and will use you!!

Now of course all of us are not called to be a Yosef or Aliyah, all of us aren’t called to give up everything, live in faith and go out to all the world to spread His Truth. But we are called to be there for one another, we are called to love one another as we love ourselves! We can support this incredible ministry through whom Yahweh is truly touching lives. We can go out and bless others through giving to this ministry because we Love Him Enough! So I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting my challenge. All we have is through His grace, so how can we not give?

Be Blessed,

Marlize
