LOVE PROJECT, A SPECIAL JOURNEY

Help turn disabilities into an opportunity

My name is Anne Bénédicte Zanini and I am an African descent, Ivorian in particular: I was adopted in Italy when I was child by a family full of love that took me out from orphanage and diseases (polio and malaria).

If one were to ask my friends to describe me, they would portray me usually as ‘sunshine’, a very kind, diverse, active and intelligent woman. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of knowledge that I possess.

I aspire to pursue a career in a Cooperation profession in communication. The major drive to attain this goal in life is me and my personal experience into the Hospitals and thru my youth in a ‘third world country’.

My purpose in life is quite a simple one.

People go into different professions and directions for quite a lot of reasons. Some go in for the money; some go in for the fame and so on and so forth. My first reason why I became interested in this field is because of the love I have for humanity and because what I’ve experienced.

With that in mind I decided to run this project.

I am disabled. Disabled and proud of what I’ve been thru and how I stand up.

When speaking about this we all think disability most of the people and culture think at sympathy, lot problems, lack of ability, architectural barriers, lack of sensuality or even worse bad prophesy.

well, I want to show the total opposite.

I’d like to raise money for make a world tour (well, where my legs can bring me, lol) I would say ‘1 and a half leg around the word’ making a diary/guide showing how disability can be so inspiring for everybody.

I would really appreciate anything you can offer to help me out with this amazing cause.

I have four aims:

1) Have an amazing time and making my dream come true: I always wanted to explore the world. I will bring my self irony, my patience, my passport, my pills, my crutches, planes and visiting the places with a bike, not able to drive.

2) Create a diary for adventure and education on a global issue write an experience different and green.

3) Raise funds for Melinda & Bill Gates http://www.gatesfoundation.org/ charities that work against polio and malaria, HIV globally

4) To share the story through film, photography and writing, finding sponsors and magazine
