Hello, My friend is currently in Guy's hospital undergoing intensive radiotherapy due to metastasis of bowel cancer. She is 37 years old with two sons age 12 and 14. She has an inoperable tumor on her spine which has in the last two weeks, left her unable to walk due to spinal compression. Her husband is working and caring for their sons alone. They live in a home owned by her stepmother. They have been there for over 14 years, paying full rent, no discretionary family subsidies.  My friend was diagnosed with cancer about 4 years ago, in that time the house has needed maintenance and the stepmother has refused to carry it out. She has insured events that should of been claimed against yet she again refused, resulting in my ill friend being 'rained' on in bed due to the hole in the roof, while undergoing chemotherapy. I need help because my friend was due to go home with a social services 'care pack' - I presume will be a stair lift, hoists etc as she cannot walk. The stepmother went to  her stepdaughters hospital bed and said, I quote "I have looked online and discussed it with my friends, the care pack installations will reduce the value of my house". She then went on to say that to help them out she would write them an eviction letter as "the government will sort you out". Her stepmother is by no means, struggling financially. My friend can't go home, we don't know how long she has but this is no way to spend her time. She is effectively homeless and basically very ill. There is so much to consider - they need help with moving costs, a deposit for another rental property near the childrens schools. With so many people asking for help i may not raise anything for them but any landlords willing to help or donations and prayers will be humbly gratefully received. I am happy to verify any of this, proof in any way required if it helps.   however thank you for reading and lets pray the cure for cancer is found soon.
