Love At First Sound

After much anticipation,  Sara Illig and Kirk Jones are happy to announce they are getting married! They will be holding a traditional ceremony in at the Nyabinghi Temple in Jamaica on June 21, 2013. 

Sara and Kirk met through music in February 2008, through a request to do a music collaboration together. It was love at first sound.  After completing their first song, Only Jah Knows, Sara flew to Jamaica to meet Kirk in person. Shortly after meeting, Kirk proposed, and in June 2008, Sara accepted. In late 2008, they formed a music company, KnS Productions. Since then, the two have been creating, singing, and producing music together long distance.  

This celebration is not only a celebration of their union, but a celebration of the upcoming release of both their albums. To show their gratitude for all the support they have received over the years, they will be preforming a concert the day following the wedding. They will be joined on stage by many of the artists that they have been working with through the years. 

As many of you know, weddings are expensive. Since the wedding will take place in Jamaica, many will be unable to attend. I wanted to do something to support Sara and Kirk in this new chapter of their lives. As with other newly weds, they will be furnishing their first home, and beginng a new life together. In lieu of gifts, I created this page so that family and friens could financially contribute to help cover some of these costs, as well as send these kids off on a much deserved honeymoon in Ocha Rios.
