Mommy Fe experienced dizzyness and vomiting on the night of September 28 2020 around 11pm. She was rushed to the E.R the next day at around 1pm due to continuous symptoms of nausea, vomiting and showed physical weaknesses. ECG was requested to monitor her heart, the results were normal but her BP were high. On the CT scan on the other hand showed infarction of the cerebellum (stroke), so the neuro doctor immediately ordered for an admission to the ICU for close monitoring treatment. Her status on that day was ok with GCS score of 15 and She was still very cooperative .
October 1 2020 around 6pm the hospital called informing us that Mommy Fe's gcs score dropped to 11 and that she was experiencing headaches ,no appetite and started to fall asleep more often.
Around 8 pm mommy Fe's gcs score dropped to 7.
Emergency cranial plain ct scan was immediately requested by the doctor.
October 2 2020, gcs score is 6. Doctor explained the 2nd result of the ct scan which showed that the infarction of the cerebellum affected the brainstem ,also fluids were present on the ventricles of the brain which led to hydrocephalus.
Dr's interpretation is that Mommy Fe's condition is on critical stage. Possible treatment is drainage of the fluids present inside the brain. The certainty of mommy fe's survival is not promised (50/50).
Still awaiting for the strategy plan coming from the neuro-surgery.
