Lou’s Stupid Mistake

I've always had bad teeth and at 37 years old I was finally able to save half the money needed for braces while my work dental plan would cover the other half.  I finally got my braces on February 11 and submitted my claim shortly after.  I received a call on Friday stating that I didn't have the proper coverage for orthodontic care!  I almost started crying.  I only have basic coverage and I need extended coverage.  Wow, a $2500 mistake (the half that I thought would be covered).  I'm really not sure what to do to find this money.  Please help.
