A few weeks ago we were blessed enough to take one of our favorite daughters (Loreen) to one of the best eye hospitals in the country called Lusaka Eye Hospital.

Loreen has a very serious eye condition which we have previously helped with by fundraising and providing her with spectacles that help protect her from the direct sunlight and help her to see the blackboard in class a lot better. She still has those spectacles 👓 and they have improved her quality of life and eyesight in respects to seeing better in the sun and in class.

However Loreen’s eye condition which stems from her being Albino condition is very serious and really starting to effect her academic performance in an adverse way. We were able to pay for all expenses to and from the capital city (Lusaka) to see a top specialist and acquire a much better consultation, diagnosis and prescription through revenue generated from the Grit Gardens at her school (Namulonga). The total cost came to approximately £130 but was definitely money well spent to find a solution to Loreen’s eyesight problem before she starts her end of year exams.

The specialist was able to provide a prescription for the perfect set of spectacles that will not only just protect her from the sun and help her mid range site BUT will also allow her to see perfectly clearly at all ranges from extremely close to far.

Loreen needs to revise and have extra lessons of which she cannot do effectively without the right spectacles.

Her Grade 7 exams are crucial to her future and so will be every other exam left for her to take part in (Grade 9 & 12).

We NEED TO URGENTLY raise £255 in total to pay for her specialist prescription lenses to be sourced from South Africa , her durable frame locally, delivery of spectacles from South Africa.

Loreen’s academic performance and subsequently future depends on her performances in these exams and the two to follow so PLEASE DONATE and help in whatever way you can.

Thank You Kindly
