background story:okay, so my girlfriend has to come live with me in a few weeks because her parents are getting to the point where theyre not only verbally abusive, but physically. shes 17 and she planned to move out around now anyways, but theyre making it harder and harder for her to leave because they basically thrive off of her since shes the one with two jobs. in my state its perfectly legal for her to leave at 17 and she cant be filed as a runaway or anything, so thats not our problem.in the midst of them making it difficult as anything for her to leave, theyve told her that she cant keep her car when she leaves since they just bought it for her for her birthday, and she owes them 1000 dollars(minumim) for it in order to take it with her. she also apparently owes them for them letting her live there (although shes 17 and thats kind of what parenting is for??) so we're in a bit of a pickle.my baby is working TWO part time jobs at 17 years old just to make enough to half way get by because her parents are hateful and dont feed her unless she pays for her food and helps with bills.if she doesnt have her car, she has no job(s), and we have to have money for her to stay with me.(im 15 and cant be hired because my state finds teenagers with poor mental health "too unsteady to work", so i have to wait until i magically get better, or hit 18, to work)why we're raising money:basically we need to make 1000 us dollars(738.33 Euro) in 2 weeks. kayla just got her check and after taxes it was about 150 dollars. so we have something, bringing us to about 950 dollars after she pays her parents for groceries. i want kayla to have a safe place to live, but we cant do that without you guys' help.how you can help:anything. whether its 1 cent, 1 dollar, or 100 dollars, we will be forever thankful. we'll be sending out thank you cards with little surprises in them for anyone who feels comfortable enough dropping their address into mine or her ask box via tumblr!
