We aim to make this, and every Christmas, a special one for thousands of needy people across London. The YES Group London Basket Brigade is on the 23rd December every year, when volunteers come together to pack and deliver food hampers for the needy.
Each year we feed over 1,000 families and individuals at Christmas and we cannot do this without your donations. So please Dig Deep to help feed those in need across London; as the more money we raise, the more people we can feed.
The London YES Group started delivering food baskets to families in need at Christmas 20 years ago. As a non-profit organisation inspired by the work of Anthony Robbins, our mission to feed families who struggle to put food on the table. Families are nominated through charities.
Just picture the scene… it’s a school hall filled with hundreds of volunteers on 23 December. All these people are there to contribute by helping to pack these food baskets. Once 1,000 baskets are packed, the volunteers disperse to deliver these baskets all over London. Why? It's simple, they are passionate about giving and helping those in need.
It costs us just £10 to feed a family of 4. For this inside a roasting tin we provide the ingredients for a full Christmas dinner. They receive a Chicken/Vegetarian option, Stuffing, Gravy, Potatoes, Parsnips, Carrots, Brussels Sprouts, Mince Pies, Xmas Pudding, Custard and Satsumas. And for this year, we’d love to get enough donations to also add in crackers :)
Those who join us on the day as volunteers get an experience they will never forget! They get a gift of of overwhelming love, friendship and contribution. Words cannot describe the reaction they get when they hand over a basket at a needy home; it is one of total gratitude.
We at the YES Group London Basket Brigade love what we do, as we aim to make a difference at Christmas!
