Lola Pening’s Road to Recovery

Hi Everyone! We are raising funds for our Lola Pening who has been battling Hemophilia and Pneumonia. Hemophilia is a rare bleeding disorder that disrupts the normal blood flow of a person. A vital clotting protein (factor VII) was found to be hugely deficient in Lola Pening's blood. This has caused her severe internal bleeding resulting to swollen ankles, knees and back. The worse of our fears have been eliminated when we have managed to get our hands to several vials of factor VII from a generous foundation for free.Since then, our Lola has been bravely fighting but Hemophilia has quite affected her lungs, bringing Pneumonia into play. At age 79 and recovering from a serious illness, she could barely manage her own breathing. Oral tubes connected to a breathing machine have been inserted to aid her breathing, but this could not go on for long because we need to avoid causing more infection to our Lola's lungs. The next option would be to cut a hole in her throat where a tube can be inserted to allow for a much easier breathing. This, however, will cost more.

It is in this regard that we are humbly knocking at your hearts to help us Lola Pening get through this ordeal. She has been fighting in and out of the ICU for three weeks now, and we can barely manage the financial requirements that we need to get her through the recovery stage. Our Lola is strongly fighting, and we would like to be with her all through out her fight.
