ZAR10,050raised of R10,000.00 goal
Lodewyk was born at 28 weeks gestation and has incomplete brain development. Because of this he has Cerebral Palsy which causes spastic muscles and eventually deformaties in the affected areas.
Because of the spastic muscles, Lodewyk can't walk and can't function as a normal toddler, like simply pulling down his pants and sitting on a toilet or potty.
We have the amazing opportunity to have his muscles extended with an operation in Cape Town, to aid in the possibility of him walking and functioning more normal.
Our medical aid pays for most of the costs and some of the rehab, but we will need some help from anyone who can spare something in these horrible times.
Lodewyk will have 8 procedures done at once, will be set in full leg casts for 4 weeks and will be hospitalised for about a week. This will be a crazy, frustrating and painful time for this busy body...
Thank you for helping and spreading our amazing child's story!
Lodewyk meaning: Warrior of God.
He is a strong fighter!
