Help us Neuter 500 Dogs and Cats in Loboc, Bohol

Our team will be in Loboc, Bohol this October 23-25, 2017, we will do a neuter outreach mission in our aim to help the town to control the pet population in their community.

WHY IS THIS PROJECT IMPORTANT?

Recently, there was news about a shoot-to-kill order for stray dogs in Loboc, Bohol, for them this is a way to control the stray population in their community. The town does not have an official local veterinary, thus there are no existing programs for stray animals. We reached out to someone in higher position in the province and offered the idea of doing mass sterilization in the town of Loboc. They agreed and release a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) We are now in partnership with them to control the pet population thru sterilization.

HOW MANY PETS ARE YOU NEUTERING?

We are aiming to neuter atleast 500 dogs/cats in our 3 day outreach mission.

WHY CAN'T THE GOVERNMENT FUND THIS PROJECT?

The government do not have the allocated budget for this program, they will be helping in providing the location and accommodation for our team, as well as the organization of the whole event. For them to provide MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) is already a big help as we cannot conduct this in the community without their cooperation.

WHAT WILL THIS FUNDRAISING BE ALLOCATED FOR?

The amount raised here will go directly for the airfare tickets to fly our team and for the medicines and supplies for the project. We need to buy enough anesthetics and surgical sutures before the date of the event.
