LJ’s Canadian Blues and Roots Album

My name is LJ Mounteney and I am a singer, songwriter and performer currently living and working in beautiful Vancouver British Columbia.

I just completed my sophomore disc - a two-plus year project with legendary blues bassist/producer Jack Lavin at the helm. Mama Danced showcases 13 songs (all Canadian made) in the blues and roots genre with eight originals and five covers. Collaborating with award-winning West Coast musicians, singers and songwriters the result is an uplifting danceable album with a wide mix of styles including some Tex Mex, Chicago blues, Americana, ballads and more. Mama Danced has been getting radio play and landing on great playlists on Spotify!

Featuring a cast of western Canada's finest....the band urges her on swinging all the way! The full-tilt Gospel number " Take my Message " is a masterpiece...and a much needed call to a higher plateau.

I started this crowd funding campaign to help me get to the CD printing stage and now that that's complete - the last leg of the project is to print to vinyl and I'm very excited to do that but I need your help! Thank you to all the amazing folks who supported the album to this stage! You Rock!

Now we just need vinyl! Cost to print 50 copies is not cheap - $1,500 (approx) but we're so close. Your vinyl will be a limited edition collectible item!

The target order date is January 20, 2023 and hope to have vinyl in hand by September 2023!
