Lizhan”s Soup Kitchen

Hi there,

My name is Lizhan Africa and I live in Saldanha Bay. The reason why I'm seeking help is because I have a small soup kitchen which I have been running since 2017. I love helping people especially children and to be able to put food in their stomach makes me happy. We live in a below average community and not everyone can provide for their families, put food on the table or has any decent clothing. To live in a community where people are not able to provide for their families is exceptionally heartbreaking. I get that people go through stuff emotionally, physically and mentally but being able to cloth them and put food in their stomach takes away some of their problems. With the little that I have make it extremely impossible to provide for everyone and if I'm honest, what hurts the most is when I have to turn people away because aren't enough food or clothes for everyone. Keep in mind that with this unpleasant pandemic a lot of people lost their jobs and because of it the percentage of people struggling has increased because now their struggling to provide for their families, struggling to keep a roof over their heads and if I'm honest we all are suffering. That's why it's best to give and help those in need then to watch then struggle. Help me help them, it will make me propitious because it's heart-rending to not be able to help them. I pray that whomever that's reading this will help me make a difference and by helping me people will see that there are people who cares and that will give the hope . I pray that you will see the good in people just like me.
