Campaign Story
[Update 1/14/2018]
I has been more than a year since we started the campaign for Baby Gibram's Liver Transplant.
Last year, we fought a good fight and sought all means to build a fund for our baby's liver transplant. We asked for help and received funding, aids, and advice from different organizations. With the help of many groups, family and friends, we held various fundraising campaigns. Blessings continue to pour from everyone even from goodhearted persons and groups we have no relations with. Because of that, we are eternally grateful.
We are so happy to let you know that in the coming February we are hoping to finally have the operation of Baby Gibram in India. The cost of operation in India is more realistic in terms of cost. Baby Gibram remains to be of good health and a good candidate for the transplant .
We had pooled all our resources and funds and we still lack 200,000 pesos (about 4,000 USD). This is the reason why we are again reactivating this campaign as a last push before February. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am Leah Gan, a mother of two girls, Gielean and Yumi, and baby boy, Gibram. I work at Wesleyan University while my husband work as a warehouse staff in Cabanatuan City. We live a simple and happy life.
I am starting this campaign to fund my baby Gibram's liver transplant. He was born on October 16, 2016. Two months after his birth, he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and underwent Kasai operation at Wesleyan Hospital in Cabanatuan City, Philippines last December 29, 2016. He survived the five-hour operation and recovered very well. Baby Gibram was very active and drank milk soon after the operation. We were discharged January 6, 2017 full of hope, joy, and appreciation. His father and I thought he can grow up normally, study, work, and have a family of his own.
On January 16, 2017 we went back to the hospital for a routine check-up and found out that his bilirubin levels went up again. We sought the help of a specialist only to find out that the only thing that can save his life is a liver transplant. The procedure will cost us five million pesos (about $100,000.00). Our world fell apart, we do not know where we can get that kind of money.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the institution which partially helped us finance his Kasai operation, can probably help us cover one million pesos but four million is still big and impossible for us. However, we are not ready to give up just yet. Our baby Gibram shows us each day that he is a fighter so we intend to fight with him. Please help us save Baby Gibram and we implore on your kindness to give him a chance to grow and live healthy. Any amount will go a long way. We also greatly appreciate if you could share this campaign to others.

Update on fundraising for baby Gibram
Update posted by Leah Gan at 02:37 amGibram just turned 5 months old - he is healthy and ready for his liver transplant. We are also keeping ourselves conditioned to be his donor. We plan to send him to Taiwan for his liver transplant operation where this type operation is regularly and easily done, the survival rate. . . . .
