Due to their health status, the unfortunate HIV positives have lost their social recognition and acceptance at home as well as in the society. In such a critical situations, the proposed goat rearing project would definitely restore their respect, dignity and social recognition. Accordingly, each HIV positive will be helped with an unit of goats. This consists of 3 female goat + one male goat, Insurance cost and initial feed cost for stall feeding. All these items cost around Rs. 25,000/- (500 USD ) per beneficiary. Each female goat gives birth at least to 2 kids twice a year. So, each beneficiary can earn Rs. 40,000/- annually by sale of 8 kids. The productive assets will be on rise gradually every year. Thus, this goat rearing project will enhance their socio-economic status in their family and in the society ensuring a sustainable income and reducing dependency on the family members.
