Το Σάββατο 3 Οκτωβρίου, πάνω από 15 τραγουδοποιοί και συγκροτήματα ενώνουμε τις φωνές μας σε μια μεγάλη διαδικτυακή συναυλία για να στηρίξουμε τους πρόσφυγες της Μόριας!

Στις 9 Σεπτεμβρίου, το Κέντρο Υποδοχής και Ταυτοποίησης της Μόριας στη Λέσβο κάηκε ολοσχερώς. Η πυρκαγιά άφησε στο δρόμο περίπου 13.000 πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες, που ζούσαν ήδη άθλιες συνθήκες, καθώς το κέντρο είχε σχεδιαστεί αρχικά για μόλις 3.000 ανθρώπους. Μετά από αρκετές ημέρες έντασης, η πλειοψηφία των αιτούντων άσυλο μεταφέρθηκαν σε μία νέα προσωρινή δομή. Παρόλα αυτά, οι συνθήκες διαβίωσης παραμένουν τραγικές, με έως 100 άτομα να συνωστίζονται σε καθεμία από τις σκηνές που έχουν στηθεί σε βραχώδες έδαφος, λίγα μόλις μέτρα από τη θάλασσα. Μαρτυρίες κάνουν λόγο ακόμη και για έλλειψη φαγητού, τρεχούμενου νερού και ρεύματος και ανεπαρκή αριθμό χημικών τουαλετών. Την ίδια στιγμή επιβεβαιώνονται καθημερινά δεκάδες κρούσματα κορωνοϊού ανάμεσα στους πρόσφυγες, χωρίς να υπάρχουν τα στοιχειώδη μέτρα προστασίας.

Το Σάββατο 3, Οκτωβρίου, πάνω από 15 τραγουδοποιοί και συγκροτήματα θα παίξουμε μουσική όλη την ημέρα σε μία μεγάλη διαδικτυακή συναυλία, με σκοπό να συγκεντρωθούν χρήματα για τις άμεσες ανάγκες των προσφύγων στη Μόρια (τρόφιμα, νερό, ρούχα, κουβέρτες, είδη υγιεινής, μάσκες).

Όλες οι δωρεές θα δοθούν στην οργάνωση Attika Human Support που εδρεύει στη Λέσβο και συλλέγει είδη πρώτης ανάγκης για τους πρόσφυγες. Όλοι οι καλλιτέχνες, τεχνικοί και βοηθοί παραγωγής θα συνεισφέρουν στην προσπάθεια εθελοντικά.

#LiveForMoria – A Day of Music for the Refugees

On Saturday 3 October, over 15 singers and bands join their voices in a big on-line concert to support the refugees in Moria, Lesvos.

On September 9, the refugee camp of Moria on the Greek island of Lesvos was completely destroyed after a large fire broke out. The fire left around 13.000 refugees without shelter- those were people who were already living under terrible conditions, since the Moria camp was initially designed for 3.000 persons. After several days of tensions, the majority of asylum seekers were transferred to a new temporary camp. However, their living conditions remain unacceptable, with up to 100 people packed in each of tents that were put up on rocky terrain, just a few meters from the sea. According to several reports, there is a severe lack of food, running water, electricity and chemical toilets. At the same time, dozens of new Covid-19 cases are confirmed every day among the refugees, since the essential protection measures are not being implemented.

On Saturday 3 October, over 15 singers and bands will perform in a big, all-day on-line concert, in order to raise funds for the immediate needs of the refugees in Moria (food, water, clothes, blankets, sanitary items, masks).

All donations will be offered to Attika Human Support, which is a Lesvos-based organization that collects essentials for the refugees. All artists, technicians and production assistants will offer their help voluntarily.
