Little Junior the Fearless Fighter

This is Benigno Barachina Jr, he is my youngest brother a 13 year old boy and the fearless fighter you will ever know.

A sweet and loving boy, Junior is a Grade 8 student in Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School and just recently stop of schooling to start his session of chemo & radio therapy.

From a sweet and loving little boy turns to sad and moody person due to operation and medications he undergo.

The test on our family started last year November 2018.

It’s a typical day, I and my brother are playing of “kilitiian” in our room, suddenly I notice a lump on his left side near his ribs.

He said he doesn’t feel anything but we still insist to bring him in the hospital. Until the doctor said that he needs to be check by a big hospital which is Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.

October 2018, when the operation is done and the tumor is out on his body but needs to remove his 7 ^th & 10^th ribs as it’s already affected by the tumor.

After 6 months of operation, tests needs to be done again and the results tested our faith again.

There are some tumors growing-up and spreading in his lungs, that needs to be treated immediately.

Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital decided to transfer us to Philippine General Hospital for further tests which he diagnose that he have a rare disease which they called “Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma” a Stage 3 rare Bone Cancer you may check on Google for further information about this disease.

Today (August 09, 2019) start of his session for radio and chemo therapy. He will be having 6 sessions of Chemo Therapy and 25-30 sessions of Radio Therapy. We, Barachina Family are asking for your prayers for his immediate recovery.

We are thankful that despite these trials, we still manage to get along well all of this and we will never get tired to give our full support to our “Little Junior”.
