Campaign Story
Our little Jack has had a very rough go of things since the day he was born. Jack's Mom was chained in a backyard of SW Detroit when he was born. He spent the first few weeks of life, huddled in a big open dog house with trash inside. We were able to secure a surrender of Jack, his sister Josie and his Mom Jill. When Jack was old enough he was vetted thoroughly including neutered. Soon after his surgery, Jack had to be re-admitted to the hospital to receive a catheter and antibiotics. Jack did slightly better and returned back home to Gina's house. Then he again took a turn for the worse and we were told he had a urinary tract infection. He was given a 10 day antibiotic course. Nothing was better. We found out that Jack's neuter was done horribly wrong! We needed a Dr. that was fantastic and caring. Jack then went and seen wonderful, angel of a vet Dr. Butto. She did an ultrasound and found that Jack actually had a prostrate infection (not a UTI) and it was very bad. Jack completed a course of new antibiotics which he finished yesterday. Today he took a turn for the worse. Jack is back at Dr. Butto's and we are very worried for him. He needs surgery to find out exactly what went wrong with the neuter and what is causing Jack to be so critically ill. ** UPDATE** Jack required reconstructive surjery to re-route his bladder. The previous surgery was a butcher job. Jack's urethra was severed and urine was leaking into his body. This poor boy has been through so much. We are very thankful for Cahill Veterinary Hospital for their care and skill to save our little Jack. Right now we are at $1,850.00 in medicalbills and there will be follow up care needed. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Here's the last 60 bucks! I hope the little guy makes it. I remember seeing that picture of the puppies in the dog house with the trash all around them. He deserves a chance - best of luck pup!
