Lisa’s Rollercoaster

Update posted by Lisa Staton On Oct 23, 2017

Hello everyone,

At this point in my "battle", I've had my second round of chemo. My hair, which was all the way down my back ( I could almost sit on it ) is now gone. I go for my next treatment on October 31. How's that for a treatment date!

I've found out that "one" of the medications I take can run upwards of $5,000 a dose. I haven't been able to get a price on the others. In other words, in order for me to literally survive, I have to go in debt for the remainder of my living days.

So I have a choice: stop the chemo and let cancer take over or be so deeply in debt that my only social outings will be to grocery store and back.

Some of your may think that I'm stretching it a bit, but I'm not. Medicare and the secondary insurance still leave quite a bit of out of pocket expense that still needs to be paid. Please, even if it's a dollar, I could use your help.

Thank you for taking time to read my message. Any and all consideration is welcome
