Lima Bean’s Trials

My daughter 8 is a wonderful girl who was diagnosed with a crazy, chronic, but thankfully so far non life threatening condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It has now been three years of repetitive food trials and scopes, and she still keeps her spirits high. Basically in order to see if she is able to tolerate a food, she has to eat it for at least 8 weeks, and then follow with an upper endoscopy. This has led to her having upwards of at least ten in her short life.

When she fails a food she is no longer able to eat it, as her body treats these foods like a cancer and sends blood cells to attack. This may not seem like much, but it leads to not being able to participate in parties, outings, and so on without massive accommodations and planning. Sometimes that isn't enough.

Recently I lost my car and I need help with finding a replacement to help with transportation to and from doctor appointments, finding her specialized food, picking her up from school, and so on. It is destroying us financially to not have a vehicle as we have to take a cab everywhere and we have nothing left.
