I've been selected to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019. Every one who goes, has to raise the funds for the trip - around £3,900 in all. I have already raised around £1,000, so, still a way to go.

I am starting 2018 with 100 days of no naughty foods, including:

  • Chocolate
  • Crisps
  • Cake (this is the hard one)
  • Biscuits
  • Sweets

If you would like to sponsor me for this challenge, I'd be really grateful. Some information about the Jamboree:

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia, USA, in July and August 2019 and will be a fantastic international adventure. The WSJ is only held every four years. In 2019 it will be hosted jointly by Boy Scouts of America, Scouts of Canada and the Scout Association of Mexico. Around 40,000 scouts from 150 different countries will attend. The UK Contingent will be made up of 3,600 young people and 400 leaders. Bedfordshire is sending one unit of 36 scouts and 4 leaders. Attending the Jamboree and participating in the preparations beforehand will help all contingent members gain new skills and confidence that will filter back into local Scouting, benefitting the wider movement for years to come.

Our Journey will begin in West Virginia where we spend a week and a bit on Summit Bechtel reserve, doing exiting activities and meeting scouts from other countries. Then we will meet with the rest of the UK contingent. On our next stage of the adventure, we will be staying will another scout group in either America or Canada. To finish off we spend some time in either Washington DC or New York!
