LIKARABO’S BLACK BELT GRADING

My 11 year old son has been learning karate for 5 years; he has reached the level of brown belt, and is currently working towards his junior black belt. He will be going to Japan in October 2018 to grade for his Black Belt. I’m currently raising funds for the upcoming trip to Japan for next year. Funds raised will go towards travel expenses, uniform, equipment, accommodation and sundry during his stay in Japan. He is a member of The All Africa Karate-Do Goju Kai Hombu Dojo lead by Frank Brandon Shihan. He is a very dedicated boy in all he does, and is balancing his sport life and academic life as well. He is not only a dedicated sports person but is doing very excellent at School, with all the time he spends doing Karate he has managed to balance his academic life and do exceptionally well at School:

• Star of the year 2015 (Excellence in Life Skills, Excellence in Social Sciences, Excellence in English).
• Star of the year 2016 (Excellence in Mathematics, Excellence in English, Excellence in Afrikaans, Excellence in Social Sciences).
• Head Librarian – 2017
• Award for being a Virtual Reading Mentor (Assisting Grade R & Grade 1 children to learn to read)
• Certificate for good work – Term 1 (2017)

My son thoroughly enjoys doing karate and I have found that it has assisted in his behaviour, respect, concentration and exceptional level of discipline. Karate has taught him the value of hard work and self-belief. The training over the years has been life changing for him. Going to Japan to earn his black belt will help him thrive and grow and make a positive difference not only in his life but in the community and society.

We are going to be trying all kinds of fundraising such as cake sales, car washes and other forms of fundraising along with this GoGetFunding page.
