Khati is no stranger to Gauteng-based powerlifters and weightlifters - anyone who's competed have met him and his incredible team of spotters and loaders who work tirelessly to ensure our comps run on time!

Kathi has qualified to compete at SA Weightlifting Champs at the end of the month. The competition is in Cape Town - all he needs is transport and accommodation for himself and 2 of his lifters.

At this point, finances are prohibitive for him. I feel really strongly about giving back to the lifting community, and supporting someone who has given this sport so much of his time and has personally made a difference to me

Becoming a competitive powerlifter has changed who I am. It has built character, exposed weaknesses and really tested what I’m made of. It is the greatest honor to represent your province, and nation in competition.

I am looking to raise R3500 a lifter to cover the cost of travel to Cape Town, 2 nights accommodation, and transport to and from the airport to the Competition in Kuilsriver. Any additional funds collected will go towards helping Kathi set up a permanent facility to empower the kids of Soweto though weightlifting.
