FOR A SLIGHTLY BETTER FUTURE..

Hello everyone,

My name is Mary and I am living in Greece. I am 23 years old and I am a Engineering student. As you probably already know, the financial situation in Greece is terrible. The last few years, things went from bad to worse... We, the young people, didn't ask for this. we have dreams for our future, plans to fullfil, things to achieve. With the current situation, though, we are almost unable to react.. I have a dream; to finish my studies and provide for my family, which needs my support.

Since Greece entered the crisis zone, my family lost almost everything. All the money my family had gathered over the years, after hard work, were given to the government. To the suddenly raised bills, 'public' health; taxes and more taxes. My father lost his job at the age of 50 and my mother was diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder. I used to work for 2,5 years in order to help. My progress at the university was left far behind, due to the 8 to 10-hours-a-day work..

All I wish for is a slightly better future for us. And, hopefully, everyone.. Nothing more, nothing less..
