Lifesaving treatment & test may safe Motley’s life

Best friends forever, whoever has meet motley knows he is the best baby boy in the world. He once saved Abel my 6 year old daughters life, barking crazy mad at her to wake her up because the house was full of smoke due to negligence of a person who was supposed to care for them while I was working. He’s tried taking on a police dog that got to close to us once by mistake. Our beautiful dog motley makes us laugh and so happy that we love him more than life itself. We often just watch his silly billy ways like chasing his tale when excited and we just say gosh we are so lucky to have him.

Now life takes its turns I know! but the most devastating thing to watch is motley being really sick to the point he can’t move from his bed.

He suddenly went from fine and fit to not able to move, eat and drink, disorientated that makes him stumble and he can only walk very slowly to his left side, he tries to stand to pee and he collapses while his little body turns stiff and his eyes and entire body just shakes. His eyes are full of tears and the only comfort he responds to is myself holding him so close while whispering that I will save him over and over.

He is currently resting and slightly sedated at the greenslope vet in Kippa-Ring, they have done what they can do as far as tests to figure out his diagnosis. So far the bloods came back confirming it’s not poison from a toxic, and not a tic. They have confirmed it’s neurological, this mean he needs to be transferred to a specialist vet for an MRI so they can finally figure out why he has had these sudden issues and then treat his diagnosis with the medical resources and treatments available.

A MRI for a dog is rare and very expensive so this is the tricky part as we don’t know if he is actually treatable until this is done.

The vets have told me to expect a cost of $6000!! I’ve tried a vet plan but they declined me due to 1 unpaid internet bill from over 2 years ago which I was not aware of and it’s set me back. Most of my friends and family know that my passed has been a struggle dealing with my own health issues, separation, grief from very close passed ones.

I am not perfect and have made many hard times due to my own silly decisions. But anyone who know me knows I’m a good person and never done wrong intentionally.

I’ve been so low to the point of collapsing in the last two years , Then the only little guy who has licked my face and never left my side is my little man motley, other than my kids I never in my life felt the love and appreciation this little guy gives me. He has saved not only my daughters life but mine also as he never let me give up.

I will surrender my pride and do whatever it takes to get him well again. He is more than my dog he is my family, my kids family and he makes me feel home no matter where we all are.

My next option is to give him to rspca because they will cover his vet bill but that means I’d have to give him up. And a lot of the time if they can’t come up with the funds or can’t get him seen urgently, then they have no choice to put him down.

Who ever has meet our little man often leaves feeling their own special bond with him.

It’s his turn to be helped and I’ve given every last cent and will keep selling my items keep doing what it takes to come up with funds in the next $48 hours.
