My name is Randy Pabines from Philippines, 36 years old, father of a 8 year old son. I was diagnosed of Chronic Kidney Disease or Renal failure last year of 2013 and I’ve been undergoing hemodialysis for 6 years now.

I write to you to plead for assistance for my family, who became innocent casualties of my struggle against this chronic illness. The costly requirement for dialysis treatment as well as medicines swept away all of our finances, I can no longer work due to the toll of the disease have in my body.

In all this, my son is deeply affected as he went through the severe struggles in such a young age. In a time where he should be discovering and learning more about the world, he was born into was mostly spent witnessing the harsh struggles of life. The financial resources that should’ve been intended to support the needs of my family were painfully snatched away to pay for my treatments and medicines. My failure to undergo 3 times a week of hemodialysis is fatal. Awaits me comes a slow and painful death, as toxins and excess fluids will build up in my body without hemodialysis in a period of 2 to 3 weeks.

I would like to plead for any assistance you may extend that we may survive and experience a better life. We are obliged to pay roughly P2600 for each dialysis treatment not including vital medicines. The rest of our needs are for my family’s sustenance.
