My Life Saving Surgery

Hi! My name is Felicia! I am a mom of two AMAZING kids (12 & almost 2)!

Recently I have undergone several blood tests, ultrasound, and MRI and was finally diagnosed with a VERY RARE tumor in my adrenal gland called a Pheochromocytoma! The tumor basically produces its own adrenaline, causing symptoms of high blood pressure, fast heart rate, EXTREME headaches, profuse sweating, and anxiety!

I am so grateful to have a diagnosis and finally know what is the cause of all the random symptoms! But, now I have to face the treatment! The only treatment available for my tumor is surgery to remove my entire right adrenal gland!! Without surgery this tumor is life threatening, i have already had a few episodes and trips to the ER because my blood pressure had been high enough to cause a heart attack or stroke (the most recent ER visit my blood pressure spiked up to 240/140)!!

I am usually the type of person that always puts my family and everyone else before myself, so it is very hard for me to ask for help and put myself FIRST! But, I think this time I NEED to put me first for the sake of my babies, so I can be here to see them grow! I am very afraid Tha I am going to have a heart attack or stoke and won't be able to care for my babies!!

All of the diagnostic tests, doctors and ER visits, and medications so far have totaled over $25,000, we have exhausted all of our savings, and have borrowed money from family just to be able to pay our rent! My surgery is estimated to cost $35,000!!!
