Life Saving Surgery for Ethan

Ethan Suglo is a three year old boy who was born with the incredibly rare condition Exomphalos

His organs developed outside his abdomen in a large bulge.

Since 2013, when Ethan was born, the Suglo family has struggles beyond what most will face in their lifetime. From from seeking for medical help and maintaining his health, and his past few years have been filled with pain since most children around find it inappropriate to play with him because they find him as a misfit, but we have also tried our best to make him happy all this while with the help of other adult neighbors.

Despite this set back we do our best to make him happy at all times. Ethan is a child full of joy and always wants to go out to play, he is a child and does not know about matters of his health.

Most night, the whole family does not sleep because he cries out of pain. Memories of such nights always brings tears into my eyes.

As explain by the doctors and the internet, Exomphalos is a weakness of the baby's abdominal wall where the umbilical cord joins it. This weakness allows the abdominal contents, mainly the bowel and the liver to protrude outside the abdominal cavity where they are contained in a loose sac that surrounds the umbilical cord.

This actually has had a great effect of his weight and prevents him from being active or walking around for long.

While the specific clinic and its location, and his specific treatments and protocols are not yet selected, The doctors have given proof that there are life-saving treatments that he needs- but they don't come cheap. Nobody can afford these treatments without help. And we need help, now!
