Life Saving Surgery for Carl Sherwin F. Diana

My name is Remuard Diana, this fund raising is for my brother, Carl Sherwin Diana. He was mauled during a visit to a friend’s house by two unidentified individuals. It happened last Oct 9, 2019. At first we thought that the damage was not that critical but when I assisted my brother to the hospital for a checkup, they did some thorough testing (X-ray, CT scan etc.) and found out that there is a complete inferiorly displaced fracture of the left inferior orbital wall with downward herniation of the included orbital contents into the left maxillary sinus. The orbital wall on his left eye was shattered. Because of this the doctor advised that an implant is needed to prevent his loss of eyesight.

”Bunso” as we call him is only 24 years old and a single parent, his partner died last January of this year and left him with a 2-year old daughter that needs his support and having this implant will ensure that he can build a future for him and his daughter.

Dr. Ma. Donna D. Santiago, MD, MBA from FEU Hospital who will do the operation gave as an estimate of 70,000 pesos for the titanium mesh, and the operation itself together with the Doctors fee etc., will cost around 200,000 pesos.
