Our dear childhood friend Joe Ed Aporto has been suffering from a kidney problem for more than 2 years now. He is a father of 2 boys and a husband. He was forced to stop working because his damaged kidneys continue to fail and make his health worse. It also caused him to get weaker. His wife Jinky Romulo is a minimum wage earner and her earnings are only enough for family needs, no excess for Joe Ed's medical expenses. He was advised by the doctor to undergo dialysis treatment but is not able to because of lack of funds. He is now at least taking medications and vitamins in the meantime as an alternative to fight the worsening of his condition but still struggling from the cost of it.

Joe Ed is an athlete and actively participating in sports event in our community. He is one of the best players and has been active for several years already. But with his kidneys failing, which continuously makes him get weaker, he might be forced again to stop doing what he loves.

We humbly knock on your hearts for some financial help that he needs for his medications which include cost for his dialysis and eventually some cost for his kidney transplant in case we found a donor. Dialysis treatment will cost him around Php2,500- 3,000 per session and has to undergo 2-3 times a week. That will sum up the needed amount to at least Php400,000- 500,000 for one year continuous dialysis treatment. In case for transplant, they will need at least Php600,000. In the meantime while waiting for a donor, he will continue to take his medicines and undergo dialysis when they get enough funds to start the treatment and carry on with it.

May this platform be the way to make him heard, make him able to do again what normal people do, make him able to work again and earn for their living and to continue doing his passions.

Not every help is equivalent to monetary, by simply joining us in our campaign in raising funds for him or finding a kidney donor, and sharing it with the people that you think is more than blessed, then you have already made a contribution in making Joe Ed's condition better. Thank you for making time reading his story. And for future help, may God's blessings come to you a thousand fold.
