Life Legacy Photography

Our Business Concept: Our concept is to capture memories, while we still can, for baby boomers and senior citizens in their own voices.  We use audio, candid photography, video, old photos, etc in a minimum 2-hour interview to preserve the moment.  Our goal is to let the individual tell their stories in their own voice - making these DVDs priceless when the individual has passed on. We take candid shots, not portraits, during the interview so we grab that smile, smirk, mannerism, look and so much more as the stories are being told.  Once the session is over, we compile and edite everything into a professional DVD that can be shared with friends, family and loved ones.  We have interviewed a dozen people so far (you can find 5 minute snippets of many of those on our Life Legacy Photography website) and received great response to our final product.

Our Fundraising Intent: We now want to move our business concept into action.  Initially, we want to contract with a professional PR person (I have made contact with a PR personal and discussions have started) to launch our business.  The money being raised will assist with her efforts, the additional marketing materials and advertising needed to gain exposure and initial startup costs.  This is the step to take us from a concept to a legitimate successful business.

Our Projected Growth: Our plan is to start the business in the Denver, CO metro area.  We are looking to work with various senior living communities, senior agencies and other senior resources as we increase our marketing efforts.  The next phase will see us expand our services throughout Colorado followed by nationwide exposure - possibly exploring franchising opportunities.

We are not only excited about the potential for this business but even more so the benefits everyone involved feels from being part of this.  We know the client and the client's family, friends and loved ones will be thrilled with the final DVD - and that has proven to be true.  What was a most pleasant surprise was that those of us on the other end of the camera and questioning were equally feeling blessed for being allowed to touch someone's life in such a meaningful way.  This is a business idea that is a win for every person involved.
