Librósfera Club in your School

Since more than 10 years, in México does not exist anymore an institution in charge of the creation, supply and maintenance of school and classroom libraries. This task, as almost all of those that entail the management of public schools, has been left as responsibility of each educational institution.

On this school year about to start, the Librósfera Club project lays out a movement to integrate class-groups from preschool up to junior high, taking our surprise literary boxes to the next level.

Thanks to the research aimed to foster reading that Librósfera Club has carried out throughout years, we developed an approach that accomplishes two main objectives: to bring a selection of children's and juvenile literature to schools, and supplement them with didactic advice for the groups to work in novelty ways, for example, through sharing with students of different contexts who had read the same book or interacting with authors, illustrators, editors and promoters of reading.

Many schools are getting integrated on a self-managed capacity with efforts from students, parents and teachers. Nevertheless there are schools where the communities are not in conditions to invest on books and lack any economic support that could allow them to purchase didactic supplies.

This project looks for the integration of institutions of these characteristics with help from the general public. With your donations you would be sponsoring groups of children and teenagers so they get books to work with this school year, meanwhile ensuring support for the teachers.

FOR EACH $350 MXN A LITERARY BOX WOULD BE SENT TO A LOW-INCOME CLASS-GROUP.
A $3500 MXN DONATION WOULD ENROLL THE GROUP IN THE PROGRAM FOR THE WHOLE SCHOOL YEAR = 10 MONTHLY DELIVERIES OF LITERARY BOXES DIDACTIC ADVISE FOR EACH ONE TEACHER TRAINING.
