Campaign Story
WHERE
There is a town called Pimienta, Cortes in Honduras. I went there twice in 2012 and was greatly impacted by the extreme poverty and conditions people live in.
WHAT
The local elementary school is a community staple and events are held there on a regular bases. The school does not have basic neccesities like classroom essentials ( paper, crayons, pens, etc.) nor textbooks. In particular, there is not a library, although they have the space it has not been funded.
WHO
Through your donation, you can help children in need and give hope to their families.
SO FAR
I have raised money through my church and started a club at East Carolina University to do so, and the goal is to travel there at the end of the fundraiser and set up the library for them, and have a camp for the kids to learn english and basic skills. The money funded will be used to buy supplies and shipping , and if it goes well we can sponser kids and their families.
