Summary

Coast Bridge -Ghana plans to build a library in Akosua fishing village, providing a rich supply of books and critical literacy support services to 200 children from the fishing villages who do not have access to reading books in other to reduce the level of high illiteracy and poverty
what is the problem?

High rate of illiteracy in these fishing villages are the major cause of increase level of poverty in the area. Coast Bridge - Ghana is in the village providing Education, Health and Economic Empowerment. We have teachers and volunteers who are ready to help educate the children but lack of books in a conducive environment makes it very difficult. The children do not have access to good books that talk about their environment and things they are familiar

How will this project solve the problem?
Having a library in the village with rich supply of books will help reduce illiteracy and also encourage the children to read and develop keen interest in education. This will also mean a better education for better jobs for a better living. Our teachers and volunteers from the university are ready to help educate the children in the fishing village
